Darwin Nurseries shop
Farm Shop
A farm shop for all seasons
We stock fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, meats, cheese and juices plus an extensive range of local and handmade jam, pickles, chutneys together with salad dressings and speciality oils and vinegars.
Here in our farm shop we are passionate about providing good-quality ingredients sourced from the best suppliers we can find. Local produce is very important to us and around Cambridgeshire and East Anglia we are lucky to have some exceptional producers from whom we source as much as possible. We also sell bulk coal and logs, pet food and bedding.
You can also find a good range of gardening supplies. In fact, everything you need for the garden from seeds and plants to compost and a bit of advice thrown in if needed. We stock a good range of plants and shrubs including vegetable and tomato plants, fruit trees and a whole host of perennials.
We sell free-range eggs and eggs from our own hens. If you are lucky and early enough in the day they are still warm.
Christmas time is exceptionally busy when the shop is full of seasonal stock. We stock Christmas trees in every shape and size and a huge dose of Christmas cheer.
We aim to provide excellent friendly service and make Darwin Nurseries a place to return to again and again and we are constantly evolving to accommodate customer tastes and feedback.
If we grow it, we know it
We grow our own vegetables and fruit for the shop through the year and harvest every day in peak times, so we are confident in total freshness and the distance from field to shop is counted in footsteps rather than miles.
The co-workers create seasonal preserves to sell and particular favourites amongst customers are the chutneys and jams. We are also becoming rather infamous for our fantastic marmalade.
We try as much as possible to follow permaculture ideals which means all our produce is sustainably grown in harmony with nature so the provenance of what we sell is assured. You are welcome to see where we grow our produce. Find out more here.
