Co-workers can be referred for a placement from any source
If there is a vacancy and we are able to offer a placement the individual will be offered an informal interview and site visit. Once funding is in place we can then arrange an induction date where we will work with the individual to set personal goals and objectives.
Co-workers are supported by dedicated staff who have been trained to meet their needs and comply with the relevant legal obligations.
All co-workers are treated as individuals and have a relevant and up-to-date pathway plan. This will state their own aims and objectives to be achieved at Darwin Nurseries. These will be followed in conjunction with other care plans set by external agencies.
We offer individuals the opportunity to choose and participate in a wide range of activities where they will learn new skills and take managed risks in a secure and social setting.
We encourage co-workers to work as independently as they are able and empower them to fulfil their aspirations and set new challenges.
There are whole-day and half-day placements available for which there is a fee.
Opening times for placements
