The websites below are for people who are interested in self help options. They offer information and self help materials including easy to read guides on common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety. They also contain tips and strategies to improve mental health and wellbeing.
This site has a number of self-help guides covering a range of mental health issues produced by Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust.
This is another NHS website with self-help guides which can be downloaded.
Mood Juice is a site designed to offer information and advice to those experiencing troublesome thoughts, feelings and actions. From the site you are able to print off various self help guides covering conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, panic and sleep problems.
The Moodscope website aims to help people with depression to manage their moods by tracking their moods and using a buddy support system.
MoodGYM is an interactive website which aims to reduce depression and anxiety symptoms and consists of five modules to work through.
Living Life to the Full is a life skills course covering areas such as tackling difficult situations and building confidence.
Offers a range of resources including information leaflets and workbooks.
This website gives information about the overcoming self-help books, offering courses of CBT in book form. There are more than 30 titles covering different emotional and psychological problems and the authors are among the leading mental health experts in their field.

The Psychological Wellbeing Service provides psychological therapy that recognises the difficulties for some patients with long-term physical health conditions including COPD, diabetes and cardiac disease including heart failure.
